My flea free puppy is used to sleeping in my bed and our new flea infested puppy is jelous. What should I do?
We adopted an 8 week old yellow labish dog (might be mixed) that we found on the side of the road a week ago. She was covered in fleas and anemic. We had her treated before we took her into our home, so it was not infested. We just bought a purebred husky (we took the first to see the husky and made sure they like each other first). The breeder had the puppies outside and it had fleas. We were not aware of that and now have fleas. Anyway, the first is still flea free (I checked) she had a repellant on. And, she sleeps in my bed. The new one misses her and is jelous, but has fleas. What should I do?
Flea.org Recommends:
Let the husky be jealous for one night, and bathe treat the poor thing to get rid of the fleas tomorrow. Or you could do it tonight if you're feeling up to it and have the treatment. If the husky (and the fleas) are inside, you should put down some flea powder and vacuum really, really well.

let her back in the bed once the fleas are gone. IN the mean time give her a blanket and a stuffed animal to sleep with. I know it sucks but you have to.

u should get the other dog treated and u should give them some kind of flea medicine monthly. probably after they get groomed. if they do get groomed monthly. if they dont.......u should give them the medicine monthly either way. the medicine normally goes on their back.

de-flea her. or give her the complex of being an outsider that you hardly care about, it's your choice.

flea dip your dog and let her sleep in your bed. Its not fair that you let her have fleas. Shave her bald.

Give the flea ridden one garlic. Mix a bit in its food and the fleas will jump off. Give her a flea bath with tea tree oil. Ido it to my mutts and they never have had a flea

its simple...just dont let the non infested dog sleep on your bed anymore...give them a room so they can sleep in the same one so none of them would get mad.

the best flea control on the market these days is "Advantage flea control". our beagle had fleas and this stuff killed them all within 12 hours. you apply it directly on the skin between the shoulder blades. i wouldn't use anything else since. each treatment lasts about a month, and does not wash out if she likes to swim, or gets bathed. i get it online from canadapetdirect.com
talk to your vet about it.

Treat for the fleas before they infest everything and you have to pay for an exterminator! Then treat your puppies equally!

First use spell check lol lol just kidding.(jealous)
why not treat the second pup the same as you did the first?
if the pup came into the house you now have fleas in your carpet .
