Question:
my dog won't leave my cat alone!?

Ok so I have a one year old Siberian Husky and I got a new kitten about 2 months ago. My husky is used to cats since she grew up around one. Anyway all the dog does is follow the cat around EVERYWHERE! She doesn't bite him but she smells him and licks him all the time and then when he runs she chases her. Then when the dog finally lays down the cat goes goes over and starts running and hitting the dog with his paws Lol..I don't mind them playing together but is there anyway I can get them to leave each other alone? I mean they've been doing this for 2 months now
Flea.org Recommends:
If they've been doing it for 2 months, and neither has drawn blood from the other, then they're just playing and possibly fighting for dominance.

Relax, they do need time. If nothing bad happens, I don't see whats wrong...

Since they seem to be playing so nicely, let them! Meanwhile, make sure your kitty has a place to hide where the dog can't get at him when he wants to snooze.
Good luck!

Don't be upset because your dog and cat play together...be especially glad they do! They have learned to love each other and love the play time they so obviously enjoy. When we had our cat and our lab, they would play together like this all day. And, what's worse, the cat would wait till Misti would walk past and then jump out at her and actually hang around his neck biting and clawing with his back claws. We knew it wasn't hurting Misti, as she would shake the cat off and then off they would go, chasing and playing again! We loved watching them, and were so glad they had each other for company when we weren't home.
Your dog and cat are happy....let them enjoy each other as long as they can.
